PRE-FINISHED SOLID TIMBER FLOORING

An instant solid floor with no dust or mess!

At Pace Flooring we have a large range of solid Native Australian pre-finished timber. It is the great no fuss answer for clients who are living in their homes whilst a timber floor is being installed. The advantages are that there is no dust, no smelly coatings and the floor can be walked on within hours of being installed.

The timber is milled with a secret nail profile so no nails are visible on the final floor and the finish is hard and durable. 18mm pre-finished timber is installed as a direct stick floor, it cannot be floated on an underlay, but can be glued to any dry level stable surface.
We strongly advise the use of a moisture barrier in all cases to protect your valuable investment. Some of our range is laid on floor displays so the choice is made easy.

Engineered Timber Flooring

Engineered wood flooring is composed of two or more layers of wood in the form of a plank. The top layer (lamella) is the wood that is visible when the flooring is installed, and is adhered to the core (or substrate) which provides the stability.

We have a large selection of Pre-finished, engineered floating floors to choose from. With still a 3-4mm thick veneer of real timber constructed on a cross-hatched ply core board for stability.

We have a range of all the beautiful Australian Timbers, through to your imported species. Engineered Boards are quite popular due to the fact that they are pre-finished, you can walk on them same day after installation with no sanding and polishing required. The Installation is fast and the flooring is easy to maintain.

Floating floor advantages

The advantages of a floating floor are that it can be removed and used again elsewhere if required, it can be sanded and repolished up to 3 times (see picture below of a Kempas floor that has been re-coated in Gloss) also the fact that it is pre-finished means that there is no mess or fumes when being installed also it can be walked on within hours of being laid. Floating floors can be laid over any level, dry, structurally sound sub floors such as Tiles, old timber flooring, plywood and concrete slabs.
